Legendary photographer, Robert Capa, once said, “If your photographs aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” I’d have to say that he was damned right! I must admit that it took me awhile to get over my shyness. When I pursued editorial work, I learned how to approach people in ways that would make them feel comfortable and not awkward or exploited, when being photographed. To this day, my adrenaline rushes when I’m close to something really cool happening – at this very moment – when a photograph of substance is being taken.
